Yoga & Walking Retreat in Anglesey

FIND THAT SPRING IN YOUR STEP

This retreat is about slowing down and getting outside at a pace that feels good. Days are spent walking the Anglesey coast and the gentler paths of Eryri, with yoga morning and evening, and time in between to rest, read, or sit by the river.

The walking is beautiful rather than punishing. There's no race to a summit and nothing to prove, just good ground underfoot, sea and mountain air, and a small group walked at a steady, sociable pace.

Food is wholesome and plant-based, the estate is yours to enjoy, and everything in between is quietly taken care of in the Zest Life way.

By the time you leave, you feel steadier, clearer and properly rested.

This Anglesey yoga & walking retreat is for you if:

  • You love being outdoors but don't want a hard, fast hike
  • You'd like to walk at a comfortable, unhurried pace
  • You want to try yoga, or come back to it, with no pressure
  • You're craving time in nature without travelling far or flying
  • You'd like good food, good company and not to organise a thing
  • You're happy to come on your own and want to feel welcome
  • You want to leave feeling rested, clearer and a little stronger

I’ve just spent a wonderful three days on the Zest Anglesey/Snowdonia yoga retreat and would thoroughly recommend it.

The yoga was nurturing, reviving and calming, and the walk and hike were glorious and challenging in spectacular wild surroundings. Delicious healthy food, and no need to think of anything. I thoroughly recommend it!

The yoga is led by Zest Life founder Laura Bell, who brings over 20 years of teaching experience. Rooted in Ashtanga, her style has grown into a fluid vinyasa focused on building strength, creating space in the body, and helping you feel grounded and present.

  • FAQ

Do I need to be fit or experienced to come?

No. The walks are chosen to be accessible and are taken at a comfortable pace with plenty of stops. If you can manage a steady few hours on your feet, you'll be fine.

How long and hard are the walks?

Gentle to moderate, beautiful coast and lower mountain paths, not a summit climb. Distances are manageable and routes flex to the group and the weather.

Is this suitable for beginners in yoga?

Yes. Every session is open to all levels and you take it at your own pace. Nothing is compulsory.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely, many guests do, and the small group makes it easy to feel at home.

    Is it women-only?

No, this is a mixed retreat and everyone is welcome.

    What should I bring?

Comfortable walking shoes or boots, layers and a waterproof. We send a full kit list on booking.

    What if the weather changes?

We walk in most weather and adjust routes to suit the day. There's always the option to stay back and enjoy the gardens and yoga.

    Will I have free time?

Yes. Afternoons leave space to rest, walk the grounds, sit by the river or book a treatment.

Held in heavenly Anglesey

Anglesey (Ynys Môn) is an island of quiet coves, sweeping beaches and some of the finest coastal walking in Britain, much of it designated Heritage Coast. Just across the water, the mountains of Eryri rise straight from the sea, so in a few days you can walk both the shore and the hills without ever feeling rushed.

Our estate sits between the two: 21 private acres in a sheltered valley, looking out toward the mountains, a short drive from both coast and trail.
